对世界的两种舍离:禅宗坚持般若性空,格鲁派坚持缘起性空;对主体的不同态度:禅宗坚持人性高于神性,人是最高价值,格鲁派坚持神性高于人性,佛是最高价值;对世俗政治的不同关系:禅宗坚持政教分离,王法高于佛法,格鲁派坚持政教合一,佛法高于王法。从二者的比较中,我们也许可以得到关于人性解放、文化重建、宗教问题处理等方面的一些借鉴和启示。

As for the two detachments of the world, Zen adheres the "prajna voidness"while Geru sect the"pratìya-samutpàda voidness. In regard to the attitude toward the subject, Zen insists that human nature is higher than divinity and the human being is the supreme value, while Geru sect maintains that divinity is higher than human nature and Buddha is the supreme value. With respect to the relationship between the religion and the secular politics, Zen holds on the separation of religion from the politics and the state law beyond the Buddha Dharma, while Geru sect on the unification of the politics and the religion and the Buddha Dharma beyond the state law. From the comparison between Zen and Geru sect, maybe, we can gain some reference and enlightenment from some aspects, such as human liberation, cultural reconstruction and solution of religious issues.
